Meeting with Police and Site Upgrades
Yesterday I had a chance to meet with the cities police department to talk to them about this site, it’s future, and their potential involvement. They suggested that this site would be a valuable resource that, if nothing else, they could use to direct people to when they had questions on making their homes or neighborhoods safer. I’m pretty excited that they are supportive of the idea. Not only that but they might provide some tips and, hopefully, they will review the tips I’m putting on here occasionally to make sure they are sound pieces of advice. It’s nice to know there will be some professionals making sure what I say makes sense.
I’ll also be adding a few more features to the site today such as a subscription form so you can elect to get an email when a post is made in any category. That means if you are only interested in information about your neighborhood and personal safety tips then you’ll only get an email when we post something in those categories.
I’ll also have a contact for so if you have a tip of your own you’d like to share you can submit it and – if it is solid advice, I’ll post it on here. We are looking for tips dealing with any kind of crime prevention from personal safety such as theft or rape prevention to home and business safety. So please, if you have an idea, send it in!
